What is athlete's foot?

It's a skin infection caused by fungi that thrive in warm and moist environments like changing rooms, showers and public pools. You don't have to be an athlete to get it, but walking barefoot in these places puts you at greater risk. Athlete's foot usually occurs between your toes, but it can also affect the soles and sides of your feet.

Treat it seriously

A fungal skin infection is not the end of the world, but you shouldn't ignore it. Don't hide it, treat it - it won't go away on its own. Start treatment early to fight the fungi effectively and remember that it takes more time to clear an infection than it does to just make symptoms disappear.

Potect your loved ones

Fungal skin infections are very contagious and your loved ones are especially susceptible, so tell them about your problem, avoid sharing towels or bed sheets and wash your hands after applying the treatment.

Athlete's Foot may feel uncomfortable, but in most cases there's nothing to worry about and it can treated easily.

Give the boot to discomfort - let Canesten help you enjoy every day.

Breastmilk is best for Babies

Before proceeding, please read the important notice below.

Breastfeeding is best for babies and has many benefits, such as protecting your baby from infection while their immune system develops. It is important that you eat a healthy, balanced diet in preparation for and during breastfeeding. Infant formula is designed to replace breast milk when an infant is not breastfed. Combining breast and bottle feeding in your baby’s first weeks of life may reduce your supply of breast milk, and reversing a decision not to breastfeed is difficult. The social and financial implications of using infant formula should be considered when choosing a method of feeding. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when preparing and using infant formula, including proper sterilisation of bottles and using boiled water. Improper use of an infant formula may make your baby ill. Always consult your doctor, midwife or health care professional for advice about feeding your baby.
